…e I was about eleven or twelve — but no one, including myself, would have ever labelled it as that. It was just ‘normal’ for me to have thoughts about ‘going back to source’, feeling tremendous inexplicable sadness, a longing for something outside the confines of the system… as the environment in school felt like pure sensory-overloaded, mental-emotional terror.
